Power System Planning Internships

We have Internship openings for participation in the Collaborative Integrated Resource Planning Study (CIRPS). These Internships will participate in setting up computer study scenarios, analyzing results, and preparing reports. The participants will be trained in the use of the PowrSym electric system model and in the specifics of performing long range analysis of various power generation, renewable, and conservation options. The minimum length of an internship is three months. These positions are not paid by OSA, but it is often possible to find sponsors for internships. These positions are designed for university students and for staff members of electric utilities, regulatory authorities, environmental advocacy groups, and proponents of various energy technologies. OSA provides office space, computer resources, training, and active participation in the CIRPS project.
