  SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 

Resolved computer-related failures in an environment that included mainframes, minicomputers and PC’s for a large electric utility. Determined severity of event using ITIL fundamentals and initiated diagnostic procedures to assess complexity of event. Coordinated resolution activities and communicated with personnel to ensure successful completion. Results: Determined commonalities between events to predict future problems.  Reduced resolution times by a factor of three.

 

Trained hundreds of clients for a large hardware/software company. Assisted in curriculum development, reviewed training versions to keep classes current and surveyed class participants to hone training skills. Results: Provided a required component for accreditation of class participants. Created client desire for future training programs. 

 

Spearheaded hardware/software acquisitions for a software development company. Developed a vendors list, assessed product viability and maintained vendor relationships. Results: Identified potential discrepancies between vendor claims and product ability.

 

Managed a project team of programmers for an insurance company.  Assessed team member’s expertise and developed a plan to satisfy customer requirements. Determined personnel assignments and conducted progress reviews.  Implemented testing and quality assurance at each stage to document project completion. Results: Project was completed in 2 weeks instead of the scheduled 8 and within budget.
